![]() ![]() OBS doesn't use the hardware encoding on the HD60 Pro unfortunately. There's really no point to run it through the ElGato HD60 Pro unless you are using the Elgato Game Capture software. If you are streaming I recommend using 720p60 and crank the bitrate to 6Mbps for Twitch in OBS/Shadow Play. Instead, you must connect it to the special Nintendo Switch Dock that comes with the Nintendo Switch. That Dock has HDMI out. If you have a decent CPU, OBS with Game Capture on the game you are playing with Intel QuickSync or CPU x264 works great for me. The Nintendo Switch itself does not have a video out port - you cannot connect it directly to Elgato Game Capture HD60, no matter what adapter you try to use. OBS and Shadow Play have screen/game recording built in and it's usually faster on the same PC to use those methods either with Intel QuickSync, NVEnc (although this may affect game play fps a bit) or Shadow Play which I recommend since it takes next to no hit in performance. My question here is, why are you using the HD60 Pro on your same gaming PC to record/stream your gaming? You're simply adding an extra layer of processing. You coudl try using ShadowPlay (Nvidia Geforce Experience) to stream to Twitch or record your game play. Here is an example screenshot showing a PC with two separate USB 3.0 Root Hubs and a Cam Link 4K attached to each one: Alternatively, you can use the free USBtreeview utility to. 3) Expand all of the PCI Express entries to find the USB Root Hubs. 2) Switch the view to 'Devices by connection'.
